Once a person is medically stable after a stroke, rehabilitation should begin when appropriate under the guidance of the treating team. Activities are adapted to each resident’s abilities, risks and goals. Rehabilitation may support mobility, communication, swallowing and daily activities, helping the person live as safely and independently as possible. Recovery outcomes and timelines differ for every person.
Our team includes specialists in family medicine, psychiatry, anesthesiology and rehabilitation medicine. Nursing professionals, physical therapists, dietitians and other care staff work together as a multidisciplinary team.
